Tonight we took a ride to Kohl’s to get daddy a couple of pairs of work pants. The kids were very well-behaved and being so cute. They were hugging each other with no prompting from me.
I had three bananas that were turning really dark. They were getting to the point where I either needed to bake something with them or throw them away. I decided to make banana bread. Of course it was from the America’s Test Kitchen cookbook. The two main points about this recipe is not to over mix (that makes the loaf too dense) and it calls for 1/4 cup yogurt (it adds a little tang and helps keep it moist). So yummy!
I am so happy that my wonderful husband put in a new kitchen sink for us! The old one was a white, cast iron sink. It was pretty, but there were scratches in it and for some reason the previous owner who put it in thought leaving the caulking around the edges haphazardly was a good look. Our new stainless steel sink is soooooo much better! It’s bigger and deeper, so doing dishes will be easier. Also, our old sprayer used to stick all the time (the main reason we decided to replace the sink) and this new sprayer is part of the faucet. Beautiful 🙂
It was relatively mild today (in the 40s), so I took the kids for a walk around the neighborhood. I was so proud of Samantha, she walked almost the whole way all by herself! The kids just love being outside. They both collected various sticks, rocks, and leaves and enjoyed throwing them the storm drains.
