Fairy Garden

I’ve been wanting to make a fairy garden for a while now. They are so sweet! I found a ton of inspiration on Pinterest (http://www.hometalk.com/1282332/fairy-garden-in-a-container). The one in this link is super cute, but contains real plants. I have a black thumb when it comes to taking care of plants, so I decided to make mine in a shallow plate (no care needed).

This project was so fun! The best part was picking out all the little accessories at a local nursery (shop local!). My three-year-old got so excited looking at all the tiny fairy stuff 🙂

Materials needs for this project include:

  • A large plate
  • Dirt
  • Polished stones
  • Glass stones
  • Fairy accessories

First, we started by spreading out some potting soil on the plate. This was a great project to do with my son, he loved helping.

Next, we arranged all the little fairy accessories. This was so fun!

Finally, we added a glass-stone path and scattered some polished rocks around.

This project was great! Although, it wasn’t cheap. Those little fairy accessories are pretty pricey, it’s easy to go crazy with all the cute stuff they have. Putting it together was so fun, it made me feel like a kid again 🙂
