Today was Easter! We had fun egg hunting and eating delicious food 🙂 This included some super cute chocolate covered strawberries that looked like carrots, which came from a website I found on Pinterest that had a bunch of cute Easter food crafts (http://www.parenting.com/blogs/kid-friendly-recipes/holly-kapherr/easter-craft-ideas).
Materials needed for this project:
- Orange melting chocolate
- Wax paper
- Plastic zip-loc bag
After pulling everything together, I started by melting the chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl. It took about 2 minutes to melt, stopping every 30 seconds to stir. Next, I dipped the strawberries in the melted chocolate and placed them on wax paper to dry.
I put the remaining melted chocolate into a zip-loc bag and cut a tiny hole in the corner.
Once the chocolate coating on the strawberries was dry, I drizzled the melted chocolate in the bag across the them.
Once everything was dry, I trimmed the excess chocolate with scissors.
The final product was adorable and yummy! This was a fun project that even my 3-year-old could help with 🙂
